I should be ashamed 😔. I found myself listening to and REPEATING the talking points from the media and not fact checking or using an ounce of critical thinking. Two of the classes that I am taking DISCUSS liberties taken by the media and I still let the lies pass my lips 😢. This is a prime example of the 🚽 our media keeps us in with a gentle push 🪓 by the powers that be 😉.
I recently just read a Facebook post, from a man I respect, claiming that California banning best by dates was a Leftist plot 🤔. That regulating everything to the most minute detail is counterproductive to the ‘true’ American Way. An estimated Forty Million tons of food gets thrown away each year or about 1/4 of what we purchase. So using this model as👆absolute fact Capitalism has manipulated the system to cause us as Americans to waste 25% of the money we spend on food 🙈 🙊 🙉 AND throw it away. Take a second and think about this… OUR revered 🇺🇸 system is set to make you spend more and waste or a chance to keep 25% more income money in your bank 🤔 to save or use on other needs.
I am not a fan of Gavin Newsom or the majority of his policies, but as a fighter of food insecurity, I am relieved that we may get a bit more help making sure our neighbors eat. It doesn’t eliminate them, it is only an attempt to standardize the language. So if saving the people money by holding corporations accountable is a Leftist ideal, then I will be the one on dumping tea off the sides of the ships in Boston Harbour 😳😉😂🤣
